I have been serving the nonprofit community for more than 20 years and, during that time, I’ve built a reputation for the creativity that I inject into nonprofit marketing, communications, fundraising, programming, and membership engagement.
After graduating from UC Santa Barbara, I began working in marketing, communications, and creative roles with an assortment of businesses and organizations, including the Hebrew Union College, The Jewish Federation of Greater Los Angeles, schools, religious organizations and a variety of mission-driven nonprofits.
In 2007, I founded Inspired Multimedia, Inc., a consulting firm specializing in working with nonprofit organizations around the world to build websites, improve marketing efforts and provide tools and resources customized to fit this niche. During that time, I also co-founded and ran a thriving nonprofit group for young professionals in the Los Angeles area, receiving national recognition and grants.
I’m a diehard Disney fan (in case that wasn’t already clear), enjoy playing music, cooking, and working with my hands, and I live in Los Angeles with my wife Elana, a fellow nonprofit professional, and our two brilliant and creative children, Evan and Judah.
Pretty much everything you see on this site and receive in your inbox will be coming from me, so feel free to contact me with your ideas, questions and suggestions. I’m all ears!
Don’t act so surprised! It was an awesome book.
As a lifelong Disney fan and volunteer, I found that Ben's storytelling format actually utilizes many of the techniques that he discusses. His messaging is highly relatable, practicable, and thought-provoking. As a non-profit executive I will advocate the use of many imagineering practices throughout our organization, and encourage others to do the same. Trust the process!
I'm very happy after going through your book. I enjoyed every single line I read, moreover I can't hesitate to say this book will contribute a lot to achievements for different people who are running initiative work.
The Nonprofit Imagineers is smart, insightful, and a pleasure to read. The clear and detailed examples help make the Disney creative philosophy come to life. Prepare to be inspired to think broadly and dream big about the future of your organization.
